3. Identify before treating
Damage alone may not identify the cause. Wilting can result from drought, saturated roots, vascular disease, transplant injury, or a damaged stem. Limits
IPM does not eliminate uncertainty or all damage. Thresholds for farms may not translate to a home garden, and online photographs can misidentify small organisms.
